Potato pattani or potato peas fry is a popular spicy south indian side dish for all rice varieties, it tastes yummy and is a good treat with sambar rice, curd rice, and lemon rice in particular. Ingredients Bay leaf Cinnamon Cloves Javitri 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste 1 no onion finely chopped 1 no green chilli 1/4 tsp turmeric powder 1/2 tsp chilli powder 1/2 tsp garam masala 1/2 tsp kulambu chilli powder 1 tsp coriander powder curry leaves 1 cup tomato puree 1/4 cup peas 200 grams boiled potatoes Coriander leaves for garnishing Salt to taste Oil to cook How to cook Potato Pattani Fry Recipe - Aloo Mutter Fry - Potato Chettinad Step 1: To a heated pan add sufficient amount of oil and let the oil heat well Step 2: To the heated oil add bay leaf, cinnamon, 2 cloves, a little javitri. Step 3: Add 1 tbsp of ginger garlic paste, 1 no chopped green chilli and cook for 15 to 30 seconds Step 4: Add 1 no finely chopped onion and let the onion cook well for couple of minutes in medium flame Step 5: Add 1/4 turmeric powder, 1/2 tsp chilli powder, 1/2 tsp garam masala, 1/2 kulambu chilli powder and cook for a minute Step 6: Add some curry leaves and add 1 cup tomato puree, add a little water if needed and add 1/4 up peas and let the peas cook well for 5 to 10 minutes Step 7: Once the peas have cooked well, add 100 grams boiled potatoes and mix well, add some salt to taste and cook for 2 minutes Step 8: Add some coriander leaves for garnishing Step 9: Serve it hot with all types of rice.
