Rezala is confined itself within the periphery of Kolkata. A medium thin white gravy chicken recipe that is best served with roomali roti or biriyani.This dish is just magical with its aroma, texture and taste. http://www.vahrehvah.com/chicken-rezala-mughlai-delicacies Ingredients: Chicken 500 g Cloves 4 n Cinnamon sticks 2 n Cardamom 4 n Bay leaves 3 n Butter 2 tb Curd 1 cup Cashew nut and poppy seed paste 1 tb Oil 1 tb White pepper powder 1 tb Ginger garlic paste 1 tb Onion paste 4 n Salt Green chilly 3 n Garam masala 1 tb Red chilly 4 n Saffron ½ g Khewra few drops Directions: First marinate the chicken with salt, white pepper powder, ginger garlic paste, curd, onion paste and rest for 2 to 3 hours. Rezala is a traditional Bangladeshi dish highly influenced by Royal Mughlai cuisine. The dish most probably was invented in Bangladesh by chefs who came along with the exiled Nawab of Lucknow after the separation of subcontinent, when East Bengal was a part of newly founded Pakistan (West Bengal), known as East Pakistan. This dish as a Mughlai aroma, texture and taste of a classic meat-based curry of lamb with onions in yogurt and ghee specially. The chunks of tender meat rest in a flavorsome white based gravy made from curd, cashew nut and poppy seed paste, flavored with subtle spices. This dish “Rezala” dish is regal and flavoursome. INGREDIENTS- 500gm chicken 1/4tsp salt 1tsp ginger paste 1tsp garlic paste 1 medium size onion 1 piece ginger 6-7 garlic cloves 6 green chilli small 200gm curd 1tbsp poppy seeds 1 fist cashew 2 bay leaves 4-5 cloves 1/4tsp cumin seeds 1 piece cinnamon stick 3 green cardamom 15-20 saffron strands 2tsp coriander powder 1tsp ginger paste 1tsp garlic paste 2 pinch salt 1/4tsp black pepper 1/4 tsp white pepper 1/4tsp garam masala powder 1 small onion 3 green chilli
